Wombat's Yellow Rock

Illustrated by Felicity Brown

There is always a good excuse to have a party in Wattlebark Creek

Wattlebark Creek is a community of Australian bush creatures in a little hidden valley. Each one has their own way of doing things and their own job to keep them busy each day.

One day, Magpie the Shire President an Emu the Chief Inspector, decide that safety holes are needed for the citizens in case of bushfire. So Wombat is asked to dig them.

He takes the job on and soon turns up a big yellow rock. Is it Gold? Will they all be rich? Old Goanna is not at all sure that finding gold would be the best thing for the valley.
